Agriculture is one of the sector where polyethylene (PE) and its copolymers with vinyl acetate (EVA) are widely used because they allow considerable advantages both in terms of saving, in terms of use and in terms of environmental sustainability and over the past few decades, the use of plastics in agriculture has grown dramatically.

Greenhouses film are very important for the agricultural sector, they play an essential role in protecting the crops from bad weather, while improving agricultural production both from a qualitative and a quantitative point of view. They also allow the production period to be extended, thus allowing to anticipate and postpone the harvest and therefore to commercialize agricultural products in economically more favorable periods. Farmers who use plastic films recognize significant benefits, such as improved quality, increased yields, earlier harvests, reduced use of herbicides and pesticides, and decreased water and energy expenses. Main applications include greenhouse films, mulch films, silages, bale stretch wrapping and etc.
