What is REFENCE®?

 

REFENCE® is part of the sustainable Versalis Revive® product line and is the result of a collaboration between Versalis and the Italian company Forever Plast, a leader in post-consumer plastic recycling. REFENCE® grades are designed for applications such as:

 

• Yogurt cups
• Meat and fish trays
• Other rigid and expanded food packaging

 

Safety and Compliance

 

REFENCE® meets the strictest regulatory requirements:

 

• EU Regulation 1616/2022 on food contact materials
• Non-Objection Letter (NOL) from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA)

 

This is made possible thanks to NEWER® technology, developed by Versalis, which purifies recycled polymers to a level suitable for food-grade applications.
