Extir® CM Galileo Europa 5AE – The Smart Choice for Energy Efficiency
In today’s world, where energy efficiency and sustainable construction are top priorities, expanded polystyrene (EPS) plays a key role as an insulation material. Thanks to its lightweight nature, excellent thermal insulation properties, and recyclability, EPS is widely used in construction, packaging, and industrial applications.
Extir® CM Galileo Europa 5AE – an innovative product developed by our partners at Versalis, Italy, setting new standards in insulation solutions.
Extir® is the commercial brand of expandable polystyrene (EPS) developed by our partners at Versalis. It has been on the market for over 50 years. As a manufacturer with decades of experience, Versalis offers a wide range of EPS products designed for various applications in construction, packaging, and insulation.
Extir® CM Galileo Europa 5AE is a light grey EPS with an improved lambda (λ) value, achieved through a special atherman additive that minimizes thermal conductivity. This makes it ideal for applications where high energy efficiency is required.
This advanced EPS grade offers a range of benefits:
- Flame retardant – formulated without hexabromocyclododecane (HBCDD), CFCs, or HCFCs, making it environmentally safe and non-flammable.
- Dimensional stability – thanks to low bead size dispersion, ensuring consistent molding and performance.
- Enhanced thermal insulation – due to the special additives that help retain heat longer and reduce energy loss.
- 100% recyclable – supporting circular economy goals and sustainable building practices.
With Extir® CM Galileo Europa 5AE, our partners at Versalis deliver a sustainable solution that meets today’s demands for safety, performance, and environmental responsibility.
Grade Europa is available also as PCR sustainable version – Revive® EPS Europa АЕ, containing 15% post-consumer recycled EPS, sourced from food packaging, household appliance packaging, and seed trays. The material complies with UNI 10667/10 and is certified under the Plastica Seconda Vita (PSV) program.
